Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (2010)

“Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” is a 2010 action-adventure fantasy film directed by Mike Newell and produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films. It is based on the video game series of the same name developed by Ubisoft.

The story is set in ancient Persia and follows a young prince named Dastan (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), who is adopted by King Sharaman after displaying bravery during an attack on a rival city. Years later, Dastan and his brothers launch an assault on the city of Alamut, believing it to be a source of weapons for their enemies. During the attack, Dastan acquires a mystical dagger that can reverse time when its magical sand is released.

After being framed for the murder of his father, Dastan teams up with Princess Tamina (played by Gemma Arterton), the guardian of the dagger, to clear his name and prevent the dagger from falling into the hands of the villainous Nizam (played by Ben Kingsley), who seeks to use its power to control the world.
