He’s Out There (2018)

Laura, a loving mother, plans a peaceful getaway to a secluded lakeside cabin with her two young daughters, Kayla and Maddie. The girls are excited for a fun weekend of outdoor adventures, and the family sets off, leaving behind the hustle of city life. The cabin, surrounded by dense woods and isolated from civilization, seems like the perfect retreat.

As soon as they arrive, however, Laura senses that something is off. The atmosphere feels unnervingly quiet, and the woods around the cabin seem unusually dense and dark. Nevertheless, she dismisses her unease, trying to focus on making the weekend fun for her girls.

One evening, as the girls play near the edge of the forest, they stumble upon a trail of red ribbons tied to trees, leading deeper into the woods. Intrigued, the girls follow the path despite Laura’s warnings to stay close. They find a strange tea party setup—rotting cakes, cracked teacups, and creepy handmade dolls, all arranged as if someone had been expecting them.

Disturbed, Laura calls the girls back to the cabin, but it’s clear that something is watching them from the woods. As night falls, the cabin becomes a prison. Strange noises come from outside—the rustling of leaves, the crack of twigs, and the distant laughter of what sounds like a child. A figure is lurking, always just out of sight, tormenting the family with mind games.

Laura’s growing fear escalates when they find eerie drawings hidden around the cabin, depicting disturbing scenes that seem to foretell their doom. Then the unthinkable happens—the power goes out, and they are plunged into darkness. The figure outside begins to get bolder, coming closer and closer, his shadowy figure visible through the windows.

Desperate to protect her children, Laura barricades the doors and windows, but the intruder—masked and deranged—continues to stalk them, toying with their fear. His presence is relentless, always just out of reach, but his intentions are clear: he is there to kill.

With no way to call for help, Laura must rely on her instincts and wits. She leads her daughters through a harrowing game of survival, using the terrain around the cabin and the few resources they have to outsmart the intruder. The night becomes a terrifying game of cat and mouse, where every wrong move could be their last.
