Valhalla Rising (2009) follows One-Eye, a mute Norse warrior with a mysterious past and incredible fighting abilities, who escapes from captivity with a young boy as his companion. Together, they join a band of Viking Christians on a journey to the Holy Land.

However, their voyage goes awry, leading them to a strange, desolate land that tests their faith, resilience, and sanity. As tensions rise and violence ensues, One-Eye confronts his own fate in a harsh, almost mystical landscape.
