The Black Phone (2021) is a chilling supernatural thriller set in the 1970s, following 13-year-old Finney Shaw. After being kidnapped by a masked man known as “The Grabber,” Finney is locked in a soundproof basement, where escape seems impossible.

However, the situation takes a strange turn when he discovers an old, disconnected phone on the wall. To his shock, the phone rings with calls from the Grabber’s previous victims—dead children who offer him guidance on how to escape.

As Finney grows more desperate, he must outwit his captor and use the messages from the ghosts to survive, all while his sister Gwen, who has psychic visions, desperately searches for him. The film is a tense blend of horror, mystery, and the bond between siblings.
