True Grit (2010) is a Western film directed by the Coen Brothers, based on the novel by Charles Portis. The story follows 14-year-old Mattie Ross, who embarks on a quest to avenge her father’s murder.

She hires Rooster Cogburn, a tough, grizzled U.S.Marshal with a reputation for brutality, to track down Tom Chaney, the man who killed her father. Joined by a Texas Ranger, LaBoeuf, who is also after Chaney for a separate crime, the unlikely trio ventures into the dangerous wilderness of Indian Territory.

As they face numerous challenges, Mattie proves her determination and courage, while Rooster and LaBoeuf reveal their own complexities.
