Event Horizon (1997) is a sci-fi horror film set in the year 2047. A rescue crew is sent to investigate the Event Horizon, a spacecraft that disappeared seven years earlier and has suddenly reappeared near Neptune.

The ship, which was designed to create artificial black holes for faster-than-light travel, is discovered to have undergone a mysterious and horrifying transformation.
