Prometheus (2012)

Trailer:
In the year 2089, archaeologists Elizabeth Shaw and Charlie Holloway uncover ancient star maps scattered across various civilizations on Earth, all pointing to the same distant galaxy. Believing this to be an invitation from humanity’s creators—beings they call the Engineers—they join the crew of the spaceship Prometheus, funded by the enigmatic Weyland Corporation. Their mission: to discover the origins of human life.
Upon arriving on a desolate moon, LV-223, the team stumbles upon vast alien structures, eerie corridors, and unsettling remnants of an advanced civilization. As they delve deeper, they realize they are not alone. The remains of the Engineers hint at a terrifying past, and lurking within the facility are ominous vials containing a mutagenic black liquid—something that was never meant to be disturbed.
Curiosity turns to horror when the crew begins to experience disturbing mutations. The android David, operating with his own secret agenda, experiments with the black substance, triggering catastrophic consequences. One by one, the team falls prey to the horrific transformations and the remnants of the Engineers’ biological weapons. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Shaw fights for survival, determined to uncover the truth behind the Engineers’ purpose—and why they seemingly intended to destroy humanity rather than create it.
As the nightmare escalates, Prometheus builds toward a thrilling climax, raising profound questions about creation, faith, and the dangers of seeking knowledge beyond human understanding. In the end, Shaw refuses to return home, instead setting course for the Engineers’ homeworld, seeking answers to a question more terrifying than any monster—why did our creators turn against us?
