Wave of Attacks Targeting Tesla Facilities

In recent months, Tesla properties across the United States and abroad have faced a surge of vandalism and violent attacks, reportedly linked to CEO Elon Musk’s prominent role in the Trump administration. According to multiple news sources, these incidents have included arson, shootings, and vandalism targeting Tesla showrooms, service centers, charging stations, and even privately owned Tesla vehicles.

The Associated Press reports that “attacks on property carrying the logo of Elon Musk’s electric-car company are cropping up from coast to coast and even overseas.” These incidents have escalated since Musk took on an advisory position in the White House, with law enforcement agencies documenting dozens of cases across the country.

Official Response from Justice Department

The attacks have drawn a strong response from federal authorities. On March 18, 2025, Attorney General Pamela Bondi issued an official statement describing the situation as “nothing short of domestic terrorism,” adding that “the Department of Justice has already charged several individuals” in connection with these incidents.

The FBI subsequently announced the formation of a dedicated task force on March 25 specifically to “crack down on violent Tesla attacks,” highlighting the severity with which federal law enforcement is treating these incidents. This task force is investigating what the FBI characterizes as a pattern of politically motivated violence.
