Tin & Tina (2023)

Tin & Tina is a Spanish psychological horror film directed by Rubin Stein, blending supernatural elements with deeply unsettling psychological themes. Set in the 1980s in Spain, the story follows Lola (Milena Smit) and Adolfo (Jaime Lorente), a young couple reeling from the trauma of a miscarriage. Seeking to fill the void left by their loss, they adopt two children—siblings Tin (Carlos González Morollón) and Tina (Ana Tomeno).

At first glance, the children appear innocent, but soon they reveal a chilling and disturbing side that unnerves the couple. As Tin and Tina’s behavior grows more erratic, it becomes clear that the siblings’ devotion to a twisted form of religious fanaticism is driving their actions. What starts as an act of compassion for the adopted children rapidly devolves into a nightmare of manipulation, fear, and psychological torment.

With its haunting atmosphere and unsettling tension, Tin & Tina challenges the viewer’s perception of innocence and evil, making for a chilling exploration of grief, belief, and the horrors that lurk beneath the surface of a seemingly normal family dynamic.
