Kung Fu Panda 4 will mark the return of one of DreamWorks’ most successful franchises and help end its poor box office run by beating its last two movies combined. Jack Black reprising his role as Po will be the franchise’s first big-screen outing in almost a decade. Black is one of several names scheduled to return and there are plenty of exciting things to expect in Kung Fu Panda 4. While fans will be happy to see the fan-favorite series back in theaters, DreamWorks also needs a box office boost which Kung Fu Panda 4 will provide.

Despite being one of the leading animation studios around, DreamWorks had a disappointing year and needs to return to form. Although 2022 was good for the studio, 2023 was much weaker in comparison, but Kung Fu Panda 4 gives DreamWorks a great chance at redeeming its previous two movies. The Kung Fu Panda franchise has grossed $1.8 billion across its three movies, and they all received strong reviews, indicating it is a reliable film series. This will allow DreamWorks to have a solid start to the year and gives them the studio its best shot at redeeming a poor 2023.
