Tears of the Sun (2003) is an intense, emotionally charged military thriller directed by Antoine Fuqua. The film stars Bruce Willis as Lieutenant A.K. Waters, a dedicated Navy SEAL team leader tasked with a dangerous mission in Nigeria during a brutal civil war.

 

The story begins as Waters and his team are sent to extract a doctor, Dr. Lena Fiore (played by Monica Bellucci), who is working in a remote village that is under threat from violent insurgents.
