Ladyhawke (1985)
“Ladyhawke” is a fantasy adventure film released in 1985, directed by Richard Donner. The story is set in medieval Europe and follows a young thief named Philippe Gaston, played by Matthew Broderick, who escapes from prison and inadvertently gets involved in the struggles of a former knight, Navarre, portrayed by Rutger Hauer, and his lover, the beautiful Isabeau, played by Michelle Pfeiffer.
The plot revolves around a curse cast by a malevolent bishop, which prevents Navarre and Isabeau from being together. Due to the curse, Navarre is forced to wander the land as a wolf by night, while Isabeau transforms into a hawk by day, making it impossible for them to meet.
Philippe becomes entangled in their quest to break the curse and bring the two lovers together, while also fighting against the bishop’s forces.
