Dark Fate (2019)
The film opens with a flashback to Guatemala in 1998, where Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and her son John Connor are relaxing on the beach. Suddenly, a Terminator T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) appears and shoots John Connor dead, destroying the hope that Sarah has tried to protect for years
This opening scene sets up a major change to the timeline, opening up a new future where Skynet no longer exists but a different threat has replaced it.
The most dramatic scene of the film is when the security team of Sarah Connor, Grace (Mackenzie Davis), and Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) confront a new and extremely dangerous Terminator model, the Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna). The Rev-9 has the ability to split into two independent parts: a robotic body and a liquid metal form similar to the T-1000. The battle takes place at a hydroelectric power plant, where all the main characters confront the Rev-9 in a spectacular action sequence filled with sacrifices and dramatic battles. 
The film ends at the hydroelectric dam, where Grace sacrifices herself by using the energy from her body to defeat the Rev-9. Sarah Connor and Dani Ramos join forces with the T-800, now known as Carl, in a final battle to destroy the Rev-9. Carl sacrifices himself, along with the Rev-9, falling into the plant’s reactor, ending the threat. The film ends with Sarah and Dani determined to continue fighting, even though the future remains dangerous and uncertain.
