Blood Diamond (2006) is a gripping drama set against the backdrop of the Sierra Leone Civil War in the 1990s. The film follows Solomon Vandy, a fisherman separated from his family and forced to work in diamond mines controlled by rebel forces. During his labor, he discovers a rare pink diamond and hides it, hoping to use it to secure a better life for his family.

After being arrested, Solomon is approached by Danny Archer, a mercenary and diamond smuggler, who learns of the hidden diamond. Archer offers to help Solomon find his family in exchange for the diamond, and they join forces with Maddy Bowen, an American journalist who aims to expose the truth about conflict diamonds.

As they journey through war-torn Sierra Leone, the trio faces danger, betrayal, and moral dilemmas, confronting the brutal realities of the diamond trade and its connection to violence and exploitation.
