Ambar (Cristina Rodlo), an undocumented immigrant searching for a new life in the U.S., finds herself in a desperate situation after the death of her mother. With little money and no legal papers, she rents a room in a decaying boarding house owned by the mysterious and unsettling Red (Marc Menchaca).
