Wentworth (Foxtel) Returns in 2025

“Wentworth” is an Australian television drama series that aired from 2013 to 2021 and focuses on the lives of the inmates and staff at the fictional Wentworth Correctional Centre. The series is a contemporary reimagining of the 1979-1986 classic “Prisoner,” offering a raw and intense portrayal of prison life.
The narrative begins with Bea Smith (played by Danielle Cormack), an abused housewife and mother, who is admitted to Wentworth Prison after being accused of the attempted murder of her husband. Separated from her daughter, Bea must navigate the complex and often dangerous prison environment, learning to survive and, eventually, rise through the prison hierarchy.
