G.I. Joe 5: The Fight for Tomorrow Begins Today picks up in a post-Cobra world. After the events of G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013) and the ongoing battle against the global terrorist organization, Cobra, the world is on the brink of a new dawn. But the peace that has been achieved is fragile, and the Joes, led by Duke (Channing Tatum) and Lady Jaye (Adrianne Palicki), must now face an even greater threat to global security.

A new, mysterious faction has risen to power, threatening to destabilize nations and incite chaos worldwide. This faction, led by a shadowy figure known only as The Architect, aims to reshape the world order by using advanced technology to manipulate global events and create a future ruled by chaos. Their ultimate weapon? A devastating AI-driven war machine that could turn the tide of history in their favor.
The Joes must rally together once more, forging alliances with former enemies and new allies, including Snake Eyes (Henry Golding), who has returned after his journey of self-discovery, and Storm Shadow (Lee Byung-hun), who is now reluctantly working alongside the Joes in the fight against this new threat.
As they face off against Cobra Commander (now re-emerged with a new agenda), the team will not only battle on the frontlines but also deal with the philosophical question of how much technology should shape their future and what is worth sacrificing to secure tomorrow.
